Welcome to Almond Grove Elementary School
At Almond Grove Elementary School, learning is a process that extends to everyone in our community, including students, staff and parents. We have a caring school community where all children and adults feel welcome, respected and are an important component of our school. We work hard to ensure that all students reach their potential by maintaining high expectations and setting high standards to promote academic excellence. Implementation of Common Core State Standards is focusing on preparing students for college and career readiness. Our school is designed to foster a positive school climate based on a caring school community that values diversity and nurtures self-esteem.
Congratulations to Almond Grove’s 2022-23 Teacher of the Year-
Tina Gonzales.
Mrs. Gonzales has taught special education at Almond Grove School for the past seven years. She is an amazing and dedicated educator who works so hard to support student learning and ensure that our students are successful. Mrs. Gonzales works in our learning center supporting kindergarten through fifth grade students and develops individual plans to reach all of her learners. She makes learning exciting and engaging for her students! Mrs. Gonzales also works hard to ensure she is a support to our teachers and families offering strategies and best practices to implement with our students. When she is not at school, she enjoys spending time with her family and loves to travel. Some of her favorite places include traveling to Europe and she is a big Disney fan. Congratulations Mrs. Gonzales-you are so very deserving of this accomplishment and being named Almond Grove Teacher of the Year for 2022-23.
