The calendar for the 2018-2019 school year is posted under 'Important Links'.  We've planned an exciting school year and appreciate you planning vacations during school breaks. Student attendance and engagement will remain a focus.

Going to school is important to me because...

Absences can add up quickly. A child is chronically absent if he or she misses just two days every month. Additionally, when children are absent, the state reduces school funding and resources toward pay for teachers and books. We all are negatively affected when a child is not in school.

NO DOGS ON CAMPUS

Dear Almond Grove Parents & Visitors,

We love our four legged friends, but for your safety and the safety of others, please observe our no dogs on campus policy. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

Sincerely,

Almond Grove Elementary

Welcome to Almond Grove Elementary School

almond grove logo.jpgAt Almond Grove Elementary School, learning is a process that extends to everyone in our community, including students, staff and parents. We have a caring school community where all children and adults feel welcome, respected and are an important component of our school. We work hard to ensure that all students reach their potential by maintaining high expectations and setting high standards to promote academic excellence. Implementation of Common Core State Standards is focusing on preparing students for college and career readiness. Our school is designed to foster a positive school climate based on a caring school community that values diversity and nurtures self-esteem.

School Safety Reminder

School safety is our top priority. Please help us ensure our drop off loop moves safely and efficiently by doing the following:

  • Do not park in the drop off loop
  • Pull as far forward as you can when dropping off students

(Do not stop by the gate)

  • Drive slowly and cautiously through the lot

The loop is now painted red. We are working closely with the Oakley Police Department to improve student safety. If you park in the red zone, an Oakley Police Department Officer may issue you a ticket.

Thank you for your cooperation to ensure student safety at Almond Grove.
