Welcome to Almond Grove Elementary School

almond grove logo.jpgAt Almond Grove Elementary School, learning is a process that extends to everyone in our community, including students, staff and parents. We have a caring school community where all children and adults feel welcome, respected and are an important component of our school. We work hard to ensure that all students reach their potential by maintaining high expectations and setting high standards to promote academic excellence. Implementation of Common Core State Standards is focusing on preparing students for college and career readiness. Our school is designed to foster a positive school climate based on a caring school community that values diversity and nurtures self-esteem.

This year Almond Grove is adopting the Be Kind People Project.

The Be Kind People Project is dedicated to providing students with comprehensive youth development programming that effectively uses a positive approach to social, emotional, and academic learning.Through experience and project-based learning, students are equipped with solid framework for decision-making and taking accountability for building respectful interpersonal relationship skills, improving academic results, and forming enduring values.

For more information on this project, visit the Be Kind People Project website.

School Safety Reminder

School safety is our top priority. Please help us ensure our drop off loop moves safely and efficiently by doing the following:

  • Do not park in the drop off loop
  • Pull as far forward as you can when dropping off students

(Do not stop by the gate)

  • Drive slowly and cautiously through the lot

The loop is now painted red. We are working closely with the Oakley Police Department to improve student safety. If you park in the red zone, an Oakley Police Department Officer may issue you a ticket.

Thank you for your cooperation to ensure student safety at Almond Grove.
