Going to school is important to me because...

Research proves that students who are chronically absent in Kindergarten and 1st grade are far less likely to read proficiently by 3rd grade.

La investigación demuestra que los estudiantes que están ausentes de manera crónica en kindergarten y el primer grado tienen muchas menos probabilidades de leer con habilidad en tercer grado.

Almond Grove is proud to announce our 2nd Annual Cookbook for only $10.00.

Check with the office for details.

September 2017

Congratulations to our own Ms. Meis for being recognized as our Teacher of the Year!

Welcome to Almond Grove Elementary School

almond grove logo.jpgAt Almond Grove Elementary School, learning is a process that extends to everyone in our community, including students, staff and parents. We have a caring school community where all children and adults feel welcome, respected and are an important component of our school. We work hard to ensure that all students reach their potential by maintaining high expectations and setting high standards to promote academic excellence. Implementation of Common Core State Standards is focusing on preparing students for college and career readiness. Our school is designed to foster a positive school climate based on a caring school community that values diversity and nurtures self-esteem.

School Safety Reminder

School safety is our top priority. Please help us ensure our drop off loop moves safely and efficiently by doing the following:

  • Do not park in the drop off loop
  • Pull as far forward as you can when dropping off students

(Do not stop by the gate)

  • Drive slowly and cautiously through the lot

The loop is now painted red. We are working closely with the Oakley Police Department to improve student safety. If you park in the red zone, an Oakley Police Department Officer may issue you a ticket.

Thank you for your cooperation to ensure student safety at Almond Grove.
